Ksenia + James

When I was in uni, I had a friend who loved taking photos. Sometimes, we got annoyed as she kept taking pictures of us, every time, everywhere. Whether we’re just chilling out at home, at class or going out, she always had her camera. She said, “You might be irritated now, but you’ll look back and appreciate that you had these moments captured”. Now as I look back, her photos formed most of our precious university memories.

Well, now that I’m a shutterbug myself, I wanted to capture my friends’ special moments. Ksenia and James are looking forward to their first child, and I thought it would be nice to have a day out in the sun and take some pictures. Thanks Ksenia and James for allowing me to share these memories with you.

It was great but I think I drank five glasses of…

It was probably the first day of summer, beautiful sunlight all day at Henry Sutton Grove. It was a challenge to shoot in mid day sun, and to photograph people in the most candid way possible. I think photographs of people just posing and looking at the camera can get boring, especially in big parties…
